A Starling Story – Over Brighton Seafront

The word murmuration is defined as “an almost inaudible utterance” – and is a very apt description of the sounds you will hear the starlings making to each other as they enact their fabulous nightly dance rituals over Brighton Seafront. Starling numbers have reduced significantly since the 1980s, due to modern farming practices, pesticide use, habitat loss and light pollution. And yet they are still with us, and numbers will definitely recover if we just stop acting like dicks.

In this updated version of A Starling Story, you will see astonishing tight formation flying as battles take place between the starling flock and a falcon, out to get a tasty supper.
