Munchy Play - the first kids' plate with a built-in track, solving mealtime struggles (C) Munchy Play

British start-up Munchy Play has launched a collection of innovative kids’ plates in time for Christmas.

The unique design by Munchy Play® solves mealtime struggles by inviting kids to the table and helping to keep them there. Designed for toddlers and pre-schoolers, it makes an ideal stocking filler or Secret Santa for a deserving parent.

Designed by a mum and manufactured in Britain, there’s three Munchy Play® plates to collect, including; a train theme ‘Choo-Choo’ plate, a car racing ‘Vroom-Vroom’ plate, and a picnic inspired ‘Tea Party’ plate.

Sophia Procter, Munchy Pay® founder and CEO, said: “This Christmas more than ever, families are looking to treat loved ones and bring some cheer. Our kids’ plates with a built-in track are an affordable and thoughtful gift, loved by parents and grandparents alike.

“Whether a stocking filler, or present to a friend or relative, it will bring smiles all-year-round with its ability to keep kids entertained and excited about dining – even with sprouts! You could say, it’s the gift that keeps on giving.”

Designed for early feeders, there’s high-sides to support self-feeding, and a non-slip base. Made from polypropylene, the durable material can be recycled and is free of BPA, PVC and melamine.

The gender-universal collection is illustrated by award-winning artist Lydia Leith, and includes:

  • The Munchy Play® Choo-Choo plate, dazzling in ‘custard yellow’. Little ones can whizz trains around meals on a journey to platform yum.
  • The Munchy Play® Vroom-Vroom plate in ‘ice-blue’. Zoom vehicles around the racetrack and past the chequered flag, before stopping to refuel!
  • The Munchy Play® Tea Party plate in ‘marshmallow white’. Made for teddy bear picnics and tea parties, with place settings on a picnic table.

Munchy Play® is a former winner of Theo Paphitis ‘Small Business Sunday’ and is supported by Innovate UK.
