With COP26 negotiations having drawn to a close , the launch of a new social enterprise, Amplify Goods, shows how ‘climate positive’ products can help businesses bring the transition to Net Zero to life through their supply chains.

Led, owned, and funded by diverse women, Amplify Goods has been established to do things differently by addressing the gender imbalance in climate discussions and in the B2B products world.

“Just last week, the Times and The Guardian newspapers remarked on the lack of women involved in COP26 and the same is true for the decision makers in the cleaning industry – even though in both cases women are feeling the majority of the negative effects and yet, are still acting on the frontline,” says Amplify Goods co-founder Pasha Michaelsen.  “We know first-hand how important it is to avoid burnout – we’ve been there – so we are directly supporting these quiet changemakers in ways they need”.

Pasha and fellow co-founder Camilla Marcus-Dew have used their vast experience to build a Social Enterprise that balances carbon, plastic, social impact, and function, while providing the everyday consumables that private and public sector buyers source for their washrooms and other facilities. Aligned to UN Sustainable Development Goals 3, 12 and 13; their KPIs are clear.

“Our commitments include: enabling circular supply chains; collecting and recycling 2x more plastic from the oceans than we use; removing carbon from the environment equivalent to the footprint for our team and the products; planting trees for each order; and supporting the mental health and wellbeing of quiet changemakers involved in reaching Net Zero through our amplifications. Before we even launched, we got ahead of the game, removing the plastic and carbon for the first 1000+ products they will sell”, adds Camilla.

Amplify Goods are launching a range of essentials that includes soap, cleaning products and other supplies, with their product roadmap driven by the demand from organisations who are suggesting the products that are most in need of innovation. The first product will be a cost effective, unfragranced, and eco-friendly hand wash available in sturdy 5L stackable containers and 200L drums, both circular-enabled, with more products on the way soon. The social enterprise will also drive innovation in the market, designing better products and bringing them through corporate supply chains with ease.

Amplify Goods will shortly be available via national distributors to corporations, restaurants, universities, schools and public spaces.
