Venture Forge Andrew Banks (CEO) and Jonathan Newton (COO)

Halifax-based global marketplace agency Venture Forge is celebrating a duo of client wins in the toys and health sectors, adding a six-figure revenue to the agency’s turnover, an annual growth of 33%.

International biotechnology company Nuritas and UK-based science and educational toy business Trends UK have joined the agency’s growing client portfolio to drive their sales through Amazon.

Nuritas, which is based in Ireland and is backed by U2 frontman Bono and lead guitarist The Edge, has invested in Amazon support for its US launch. The company combines artificial intelligence and genomics to discover and unlock natural bioactive peptides, that are found in food proteins and can deliver extraordinary health benefits. Venture Forge will be working exclusively to launch and grow the brand on Amazon in the US.

Essex-based Trends UK offers a diverse range of top-quality toys, gadgets and gifts for children of all ages. It has appointed Venture Forge on a two-year contract with a remit to increase brand sales, revenue and market dominance across Amazon in the UK.

The recent client wins follow a record year for the Venture Forge team, with 21 new clients added to the portfolio and existing clients reporting a 450% growth in revenue throughout 2020.

The agency announced its repositioning in November 2020 as a global marketplace specialist to reflect its expertise and success in helping brands grow their sales across Amazon.

In December, Venture Forge became the first marketplace agency in West Yorkshire to join the prestigious Amazon Service Provider Network – highlighting its recognition as an e-commerce expert and a trusted Amazon partner.

Venture Forge CEO Andrew Banks said: “We are extremely proud to have added Nuritas and Trends UK to our portfolio of impressive high-growth e-commerce clients to support them with their ambitious plans.

“Venture Forge experienced tremendous growth in what was globally an incredibly difficult year and we are seeing that continue in 2021 with these two new wins increasing our turnover by 33%. We are able to drive sales in the UK and globally and ensure they remain compliant on complex and constantly changing platforms. Both Nuritas and Trends UK have recognised our expertise in the industry.”

Discussing the appointment of Venture Forge, Trends UK managing director, Lee Clowes adds: “We were impressed by Venture Forge’s expertise and knowledge of Amazon and how felt confident in their ability to help drive sales, revenue and market dominance across Amazon in the UK for Trends UK.

“Andrew and the team have delivered fantastic results for a range of global clients and are a trusted partner of Amazon. These credentials and experience can be applied to Trends UK and we are looking forward to seeing what results they can deliver.”

Venture Forge was launched in April 2018 by Andrew Banks, former head of ecommerce at Matalan, and has grown into a leading, results-driven marketplace agency, working with brands such as Nicole Farhi, Wolsey and 4Beauty Group.
