The P&D Marine Group are pleased to announce the appointment of Marie Vockins as their new Group Environmental Projects Manager.
Marie comes to the business with a long history of working within the marina sector having previously worked with Landua where she was instrumental in launching their Eco product line and services.
Simon Nadin P&D Marine Group CEO commented; ‘Marie comes to us with over a decade of working within the marina industry, however the appeal for us is Marie’s passion for the environment. As a business we recognised the importance of the environmental impact the industry has on our waterways and with more and more projects being developed by the group to address this, we believe it was the right time to challenge ourselves to make a real difference. Marie has been tasked to head up our environmental projects, such as the new Waste Rover, our autonomous bot for removing waste, chemicals, and microplastics from our waterways, along with our Solar Project, providing a floating solution so that solar panels can be located on the water, rather than in fields, and for the group to look at our own environmental impact when carrying out a project for our clients. We believed we needed an innovative approach and aim to bring more environmental products and services to the markets we operate in.’
