Bellway’s The Vickers development in Witchford

The first residents have been welcomed into their new homes at The Vickers, a new development in Witchford.

The development by Bellway Eastern Counties is providing 110 homes on land off Manor Road, opposite Witchford Village College.

Construction has been progressing well since it began in August 2020 and the first phase of homes were released for sale in April this year.

The housebuilder also opened two showhomes, a three-bedroom Carver and a four-bedroom Bowyer, earlier this year for prospective buyers to view.

Rachael Gatehouse, Sales Manager for Bellway Eastern Counties, said: “It is lovely to see the first residents move into The Vickers and we are now looking forward to seeing the development become a vibrant new community as more people settle in.

“Residents at The Vickers can enjoy living in a desirable village location overlooking plenty of open green space. The village centre is within walking distance with a range of amenities including a traditional post office and store.

“Commuters working in nearby towns and cities have easy access to major roads such as the A142 and A10, with the city of Ely just three miles from home and Cambridge just 15 miles away.

“Meanwhile, several well-regarded schools are nearby, including The Rackham Church of England Primary School just a 10-minute walk away and Witchford Village College opposite the development, meaning those with school-age children are also well catered for.

“We are building a collection of thoughtfully designed, spacious homes at The Vickers, which all boast a high specification throughout. Each home features a private rear garden, while a children’s play area will also be included on site.

“Any house-hunters looking to purchase a home in Witchford should contact our sales team to visit our sales office and showhomes, which are open to view by appointment only.”

There is currently a selection of three and four-bedroom properties for sale at The Vickers, with prices starting at £279,995.
