All companies within the Fortel Nijjer Group are committed to Ethical Labour Sourcing – which is backed up by our BES 6002 accreditations.

The Ethical Labour Sourcing Standard, BES 6002 enables us to demonstrate to customers, partners and other stakeholders, the Fortel Nijjer Group’s commitment to eliminating any possibility of trafficking or modern slavery within the supply chain.

As part of our work to tackle modern slavery on a wider scale, we recently collaborated with Balfour Beatty, HS2 Ltd, TfL, Network Rail, the Rail Safety and Standards Board and others to create the ‘Managing Modern Slavery Risks: A Good Practice Guide’.

This guide contains both information about setting up a modern slavery risk management system and processes; and information that should be communicated to all staff about how to spot and deal with potential victims.

Peter Ball, Fortel Nijjer Group Commercial and Compliance Director, said: “Collaboration is a key value of the Fortel Group and we believe that it plays a major role in moving our industry forward.

“Modern slavery is an issue that requires collaboration to tackle and we are proud of the work we have carried out alongside our peers to create this guide.”
