A leading small animal hospital in Hampshire has created an idyllic woodland walk around its rural practice for both clients and patients to enjoy.

The Linnaeus-owned Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists, in Winchester, has invested £10,000 to develop the specially-created space in woodland next to its hospital, where clients can rest and explore, team members can relax and patients can enjoy and exercise.

Anderson Moores director David Walker explained: “We cover a wide area including Hampshire, Dorset, West Sussex and beyond, so our clients and pets have often travelled a long way to see us.

“We wanted to offer them and their animals a tranquil outside space to enjoy and relax, somewhere scenic and pleasant to explore after their journey.

“The woodland trail has been carefully designed and developed, and includes wooden benches to provide a calming space for people to sit and wait while their pet has a blood test or scan.

“Planning and creating the woodland walk has taken almost 18 months, with Covid-19 inevitably slowing the work down, but we are very proud of what has been created here.

“It’s a delightful space and we’ve had already had some fabulous feedback, so we’re really pleased with the outcome.”

Anderson Moores provides specialist-led care in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, internal medicine, cardiology, dermatology, oncology, anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging, dentistry and physiotherapy.
