Monadd is integrating Post Office EasyID and Yoti to enable customers to verify their identity in seconds

Monadd, the all-in-one admin hub that enables people to manage changes, cancellations and interactions with service providers when moving home, has today announced that it will streamline the registration process by integrating Post Office EasyID and Yoti to verify its customers. The move will reduce admin time, costs and improve the security and validity of transactions for individuals and service providers.

With an average 3.2 million people moving house yearly in the UK, each with approximately 16 service provider accounts to manage, there’s a huge potential for added stress in a world where everyone is time poor.

Monadd saves the average person £80 and 40 hours with changes to utility bills, council tax and more. There’s also wasted paper in the form of letters and parcels sent unnecessarily and to the wrong address. Monadd helps align people’s offline movement to their digital records, that way service providers (utility companies, councils, insurance, memberships and more) can receive the information they need, while people don’t miss on important communication, reduce their risk of ID theft exposure and lessen the impact of their carbon footprint.

With over 2.3 million consumer downloads in the UK, EasyID and Yoti are free digital identity apps designed to make it simpler and safer for people to prove who they are. Individuals add their ID document and facial biometrics in a few minutes and have a verified, reusable digital ID that protects their details. Individuals no longer have to copy, send and share their ID documents, while businesses can be confident people are who they say they are. Individuals can sign up and verify their identity to Monadd with just a few taps directly from their digital ID and have one less thing to worry about when moving house.

By combining customer account details with verified digital identities, Monadd is taking important steps to further secure client data and reduce the risk of fraud. Partner services are also assured that those moving, changing or cancelling services are genuine customers also, making paths smoother and solidifying connections.

Jessica Mendoza, CEO and Founder of Monadd said: “Global house prices have risen at the fastest pace since 2005 according to recent reports and the moving market is on fire thanks to low interest rates and a shortage of properties. The administration effort involved in moving house however, still remains intensive. As such, we’ve seen an unprecedented demand for our online address management services. Introducing an additional layer of security to verify customers identity will build trust amongst service partners and tighten security.”

Robin Tombs, CEO of Yoti, commented: “We made Yoti and EasyID to help people tackle life admin and remove the unnecessary paper and fraud risks from everyday processes. According to Ofcom, 37 percent of consumers reported misdelivered mail last year, potentially leading to all sorts of security issues. Not only that, on average it takes 4.8 weeks to cancel a service provider, it’s clear to see why there’s a growing demand for services like Monadd’s. Moving house is stressful at the best of times, so we’re delighted to show how our identity services can help more people to make important changes with their sensitive personal data, easily and securely. Knowing customers are genuine will help to reduce risk, cost and further admin for business and other stakeholders in the moving journey.”
