MAC Construction Consultants oversees significant redevelopments at South Craven School
A secondary school in Keighley has undergone a £2.5m transformation comprising of an ambitious roofing and fire safety scheme.
MAC Construction Consultants was commissioned to provide CIF bidding services in 2018. Following multiple successful bids, MAC subsequently provided design, cost management, employer’s agent, health & safety and CDM services on the projects.
Two successful CIF bids from MAC in 2019 facilitated the progression of Phase 1 of the fire safety and roofing developments. Last year, a further two successful CIF bids allowed for the progression of Phase 2.
Both phases of work consisted of replacing the external and internal fire doors and partitions and replacing the existing flat roof system and associated internal works.
Despite a delayed CIF announcement and the complexities presented by Covid-19, the project was successfully delivered on time and to budget.
Jon Jones, Director and Head of the Education team at MAC, said: “It’s a great achievement to have generated in excess of £2.5m funding for South Craven School, with a 100% success rate in our CIF bids for them.
“The scheme further reflects MAC’s success with delivering successful CIF bids, and our commitment to working on behalf of academies to improve their buildings.”
