The Outwrite team won two awards at the CIPR Cymru Wales PRide Awards, taking the total up to four PR industry award wins in 2022.

A Mold-based PR agency has achieved an industry double following a prestigious awards ceremony.

Outwrite PR was named best small PR agency of the year and account manager Cal Behrendt scooped outstanding young communicator of the year at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Cymru Wales PRide awards.

The success follows on from the agency winning the same categories at the Public Relations and Communicators Association (PRCA) Cymru Wales Dare awards earlier in the year.

Outwrite has experienced year-on-year growth since managing director Anthony Bullick completed a management buyout in 2018, and the agency has welcomed more new clients in 2022.

The agency, which was joined on the shortlist by three other firms, was also nominated at the awards for its work with Flintshire County Council in the public sector, integrated, and regional campaign categories.

Anthony said: “The CIPR PRide awards are held in the highest regard by many people in the industry, so to be named small PR agency of the year is huge.

“It speaks volumes about the team we have and the work they deliver. They have each played a vital role and I couldn’t be prouder of their efforts and passion for helping Outwrite achieve success.”

Cal joined Outwrite in 2021 and has been promoted twice, with the account manager leading on the Flintshire County Council campaign which was also shortlisted.

He said: “It is an incredible honour to be recognised for such a prestigious award and to be named outstanding young communicator is an achievement I will cherish for a long time to come.

“However, this would not have been possible without the incredible backing from the rest of the Outwrite team as their support has been invaluable to me since joining the agency and I cannot thank them enough for helping me reach this goal.”

Anthony added: “Cal thoroughly deserves picking up his second award of the year. He is a shining example to his colleagues, and our clients have nothing but praise for him.”

Outwrite’s clients include construction firm Wynne Construction, Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK, Warrington-based Watsons Solicitors, and mechanical and electrical (M+E) contractor Ash Integrated Services.

The agency specialises in integrated PR, crisis PR and online reputation management.
