Following the growth of a successful Actuarial Recruitment team – and as part of their ambitious plans to double their turnover to £100m by the end of the year – professional services recruitment specialist Sellick Partnership has promoted Austin Brislen to Associate Director. Overseeing the growing Actuarial team, Austin will continue to expand Sellick Partnership’s Actuarial recruitment offering to clients across the UK.

Working with General Insurers, Life Insurers, and Consultancies, Austin and his team will focus on building Sellick Partnership’s Actuarial client base whilst upskilling their existing team to meet the growing demand for Actuarial professionals within the fast-paced insurance industry.

Austin’s promotion follows several years of steady career growth at Sellick Partnership which started back in 2014. Prior to his appointment to Associate Director, Austin had joined Sellick Partnership and began recruiting Auditors for large accountancy firms. From there, Austin moved into Actuarial recruitment where he has developed a dedicated team to work alongside the top UK insurance companies to place permanent candidates and day rate contractors.

Commenting on his promotion and how he envisions the role going forward, Austin said, “The wonderful thing about growth is that, the more we grow, the more we can offer services to new clients we haven’t worked with before – that’s the really exciting part.

While his promotion to Associate Director invites work on broader strategic projects and initiatives, Austin also says that recruiting will always be at the forefront of what he does:

“I’ll always want to be hands-on with securing the right candidates for my clients. Taking on those new clients is where I really get to learn more about the industry and keep up-to-date with the latest developments across the market. However, I am excited for the continued opportunity to grow my team and nurture skills in others.”
