A Solihull-based vehicle finance company has been nominated for four prestigious industry awards following its commitment to create a diverse workforce and implementing innovative technology to streamline operations.

Two senior leaders at V12 Vehicle Finance (V12VF) – powered by Secure Trust Bank – have been recognised for their outstanding contribution by the Women in Credit Awards.

Sales and marketing director Ciara Raison has been nominated as ‘Business Leader of the Year’ after playing an instrumental role in growing the team, optimising management processes and creating a more efficient and effective workforce. Ciara also supported the soft launch of V12VF’s new used car Prime Hire Purchase (HP) product last year.

Nicola Henry, senior account manager has been nominated in the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ category following her impressive work of launching the company to the Northern Ireland market, as well as the outstanding support she provided to clients during the pandemic.

The finance brand has also been nominated for two categories in the upcoming Car Finance Awards: ‘Best Use of Technology’ and ‘Diversity and Inclusion’. V12VF works with a number of technology partners to streamline and reduce administrative tasks, as well as speeding up underwriting and decision making for car buyers.

The company has also been recognised for its commitment to diversity and inclusion. Over the past 12 months, V12VF continued to work in collaboration with Everywoman and ENEI (Employers Network in Equality and Inclusion), as well as launching its own workshops to tackle career hurdles and a Equality and Diversity Steering Committee.

As result, out of the 78 employees which joined the Group in 2020, 63% were female, bringing the company closer to its ambitions of tackling the gender imbalance in the automotive industry and filling at least 30% of senior leadership positions with diverse women.

David Nield, managing director of V12 Vehicle Finance, said: “Recognition is a huge part of our business model. After all, a business is only as good as its people, which is why we want to celebrate individuals for all they’ve achieved over the past 12 months, especially against the challenging backdrop of the pandemic.

“To be recognised in four categories across the Women in Credit and Car Finance Awards is a huge milestone moment for us, especially as we continue to grow and upskill our team.”

The winners of the Women in Credit Awards are announced 30th September, whereas Car Finance Awards will be released on 5th October.
