SPARBAR® Introduces Master Cutter Raza

Sparbar, Ltd., the creator and producer of Sparbar boxing and fitness equipment, is excited to introduce the story of Ahmed Raza, who becomes an integral addition of Sparbar’s successful global enterprise.

A once in a lifetime encounter has led the Sparbar team to enable forgotten master pattern maker Ahmed Raza to pick up business in Pakistan. The brand’s decision to appoint Raza to build a local venture to further develop the Sparbar product portfolio has ignited the future of local craftsmen.

Purpose-led Sparbar founder Jasvinder “Jazz” Gill opted to break the norm by turning down several well established manufacturers with proven track records by trusting his instinct to work with Raza and give him a chance to prove himself.

“As part of my research for further innovation, one day Raza quite out of the blue contacted me, offering his skills,“ says Jazz. The cold reach-out was timely. “I was just working on the next phase of the design of our sparring partner fitness equipment.“ Raza has in his possession skills and mastery that are all but distinct in this era of modernization. His story is that of adversity and he had recently fallen on hard times, leaving him in a position that forced him back into full time employment to be able to support his family and pay off a loan from a failed step out to starting out on his own. Then came the opportunity with Sparbar.

„We discussed sampling products, materials and processes, but to be honest, it was the damp roof I noticed in his home from the Zoom call that really made me want to believe in this guy and I gave it a leap of faith as I have been in a similar situation many years ago myself – so I sent him the a deposit via Western Union,“ Jazz recalls.

Raza: “I had to bring all my expertise. The samples are always the hardest part, because you want to impress. The Sparbar team was patient and fully financed the venture.”
Fast forward 6 months in, Sparbar has placed various orders totalling over 50k GBP triggering Raza to give up his day job to set up a dedicated manufacturing facility and assemble a full time team of master craftsmen to facilitate for Sparbar skins on new boxing, MMA and fitness accessories. “We are very grateful to have unearthed such a rare talent with Raza’s passion and dedication that will be the envy of many,” Jazz says.

Sparbar products are ethically manufactured with traditional craftsmanship for an authentic user experience. The brand is committed to invest not only money but also time to make this an integral part of their success. The new range of patent-pending products will be released by the end of December 2020.

“I treat Sparbar as my own brand. I was given the gate key to provide for my family, now my future lies in my hands,” 38 year old Raza says and adds “I am blessed that I am not only making a good living for myself and my family now, but I run a whole manufacturing place. Sparbar products are truly innovative, and I stand by the skills past down to me by my father and his father before that.“

Jazz: “We’re a brand built from grassroots level, and we stay true to our values. Most of all this means that we value people by their dedication, not where they are coming from – watch this space as we are just getting started.“
