FindaBiz Networking in action

A popular and well-established networking group in Tamworth is relaunching with a new venue and a new host – and local businesses are invited to the free launch event next month to find out more.

From Monday, July 4, FindaBiz Networking Tamworth will move to Christopher’s Restaurant and the Peel Hotel in Aldergate for its monthly meetings.

Existing members and visitors will be welcomed by new host Fritha Stuttard of Fritha Stuttard Social, who has been a member of the group for several years and is now taking over as franchisee.

The launch event is open to anyone in business, whether a sole trader, small business owner, or an employee of a larger company.

It will take place at Christopher’s from 6pm to 8pm on Monday, July 4 and will give people the chance to find out more about business networking with FindaBiz, connect with other local business owners and representatives, and enjoy light refreshments from the popular town centre restaurant.

Fritha said: “I’m really looking forward to the launch event and would love to see lots of local businesses coming along to say hi and see what we’re all about. I joined FindaBiz Networking Tamworth around six years ago and it’s really worked for me. I can’t stress the benefits of networking enough, but I know that some people find it scary or daunting.

“The beauty of FindaBiz Networking is the warm and friendly environment and relaxed agenda. We have a great time at meetings and it’s just like getting together with friends now, with the added bonus that it’s also fantastic for winning new business.

“When the opportunity came up to take on the franchise, I jumped at it because I really believe in the FindaBiz model of networking. Although we operate a one-seat policy, we’re always open to new members and do have some opportunities for people to join at the moment.

“I’d encourage anyone who’s thinking about it to come along on the 4th, meet the existing members and find out more.”

Sarah Gill, proprietor of Christopher’s added: “As a FindaBiz member, I’m delighted that Christopher’s will be the Tamworth group’s new home. Our town centre restaurant is the perfect setting for relaxed networking with tasty food.”

FindaBiz Networking launched with its first group in Tamworth around 10 years ago, and now has groups all over the Midlands and in the south of England. It was recently rolled out as a franchise opportunity and new groups are joining all the time.

Fritha takes over the Tamworth group from FindaBiz Networking founders Amanda Bourne and Gemma Worthington, who are busy expanding and growing the company across the UK.

Amanda said: “We’ll miss the Tamworth group because that was where it all began. The members we’ve gained there over the years are all now really good friends, as well as key members of the FindaBiz network.

“We’re delighted it’s being taken over by Fritha though because we know we’re leaving it in very capable hands while we grow the network even further towards our target of 100 franchises.”

A friendly environment with no scary rules!

FindaBiz Networking is all about providing a friendly and welcoming environment for local businesses to connect and grow – with a positive atmosphere and no scary rules.

FindaBiz Tamworth takes place on the first Monday of every month, apart from Bank Holiday weeks when it’s held on the second Monday of the month.

There are currently eight groups in the FindaBiz Networking family, with successful clubs also operating in Nuneaton, Coventry East, Hinckley, Leicester, Telford and Tonbridge, with more in the pipeline.

Members benefit from monthly groups in their areas, quarterly socials across all groups and weekly online speed networking open to businesses across the country.

Businesses can find out more, or register for the Tamworth relaunch event, on the FindaBiz Networking website.
