Just Real, a disruptive, purpose driven brand introducing a range of unique, cold-pressed sauces, is launching in Waitrose & Partners stores across the UK from 27th May.
Founded by mum of two Tanya Lambert, Tanya’s Just Real produces fresh cold-pressed sauces that contain no added salt, refined sugar or preservatives and will keep in the fridge for 30 days (14 days once opened). The Tanya’s Just Real range is the first of its kind in the UK and can be enjoyed hot or cold, as sauces, marinades, dressings and dips. The range is naturally vegan and free from wheat, gluten, dairy and lactose.
The flavours landing in Waitrose & Partners are Fiery Fiasco, Teriyaki Malarkey and Smokey Cokey. The trio will sit in the poultry aisle to offer shoppers an easy serving suggestion while browsing.Following the initial launch, Waitrose & Partners will extend its offering from Tanya’s Just Real with Beetroot Cahoot, Minted Mayhem and Cucumber Blunder becoming available in the fresh produce aisle from 16th June.
Tanya’s Just Real successfully crowdfunded last year under its former guise of The Saucy Affair to support a re-launch to market. The brand has since enjoyed a complete refresh and transition to Tanya’s Just Real, to better represent its proposition – just real food, made of fresh ingredients. The listing in Waitrose is the first major listing for the brand since this move and marks the beginning of an ambitious growth strategy for the business.
Tanya comments: “We want families to enjoy nutritious food bursting with flavour without the stress, mess and waste involved in meal preparation – Tanya’s Just Real is, very simply, cooking from scratch in a bottle. All six of our products in Waitrose offer exceptional versatility, making them more than just another sauce”
Packed with fresh vegetables, herbs and fruit, the products are prepared using ‘high pressure processing’, more commonly known as cold-pressed which significantly extends the shelf life. Unlike pasteurisation, this process ensures the nutritional values, taste and textural qualities of the fresh ingredients are retained.
Tanya struggled to find quick and easy family mealtime solutions that offered the same health benefits as preparing dishes from scratch. This inspired her idea and passion to help fellow families create convenient and healthy meals.
“There is an irrefutable link between good gut health and our mental health,” comments Tanya,an ardent campaigner for healthy eating and mental health. “While we collectively battle a global pandemic, we must all individually take care of ourselves. Eating well is the first piece in that puzzle, and even more so for the younger generations, who are especially vulnerable to mental health issues. We are a purpose-driven business and we want to support as many families as possible to eat healthier, without compromising on taste.”
