As part of its virtual wellbeing programme of events, Developer and Asset Manager, MEPC, has unveiled its first virtual choir video.

To spread joy and positivity in the recent uncertain times, the community from Wellington Place and beyond have joined together to create their very own rendition of Kenny Rogers’ & Dolly Parton’s ‘Islands in the Stream’, all created whilst social distancing.

This is the first video in a series from the Wellington Place workplace choir, as part of So Choir! led by Nic Slack. The group have already set their sights on the next project – Foo Fighters’ ‘Times Like These’.

Dominique Simcox, Head of Customer Experience at MEPC Wellington Place, said: “We have worked hard to continue to bring our community together during these uncertain times and the choir has been a testament to the success of the virtual events. We are very grateful to Nic for keeping the choir going during lockdown and for producing the video, which is sure to bring a smile to everyone that watches it.

Nic Slack, Creator of So Choir! and leader of the Wellington Place choir, added: “We hope that people enjoy watching this, as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it. Islands in the Stream perfectly captures how we have all supported each other during this time.

“It’s been fantastic to see that people’s enthusiasm hasn’t dwindled, despite everything going on, and that they’ve still kept their sense of community by participating in our weekly virtual sessions – we’ve even had a few younger additions and pet cameos too! We hope that even more of you can take part in our next video project.”
