Leading container repair and refurbishment company UK Container Maintenance (UKCM), has recently been awarded a highly esteemed accreditation from Alcumus SafeContractor, reaffirming its commitment to excellence in health and safety in the workplace.
Alcumus SafeContractor is a leading third-party accreditation scheme that recognises rigorous health and safety management standards amongst UK contractors.
Significantly, as part of the initiative, only those companies that meet the high standard are included in a database, accessible to registered users only through a website. Client organisations who join the programme can access the database, enabling them to screen potential contractors before they arrive on-site.
Liz Wolstenholme, Finance and Operations Director of UKCM, comments: “Ensuring the health and safety of our main facility in Cheshire and our on-site operations at client premises is of utmost importance. Our unwavering commitment as a firm is reiterated by achieving the revered Alcumus SafeContractor accreditation, and we are proud to have secured this annually for several years now.
“Throughout the rigorous evaluation process, our health and safety procedures and our track record in safe practice are thoroughly examined, demonstrating our tireless dedication to maintaining the highest standards.”
Established in 1998 and now part of the Impact Environmental Group (IEG), UKCM is dedicated to refurbishing all types of waste and recycling containers. UKCM works across the country offering, waste companies and local authorities, mobile repairs, as well as factory-based services at its head office located, in Winsford, Cheshire.
The process brings old, and often unwanted, waste containers back to life instead of them going to scrap. The business model – refurbishment over replacement – is simple.
