Apprentices will cover topics such as monitoring health and wellbeing, maximising independence, communication, recording and reporting information, health and safety, as well as developing their own skills and knowledge.

Performance Through People Operations Manager, Julie Heathcote commented:

“We have worked with West Midlands Ambulance Service for many years and have formed a great working relationship with the service.

“We have worked together to develop the delivery model for the apprentices and regularly review this and update the model as the service requires. We have come to understand the service well which enables our team of tutors to work well with both apprentices and their line managers.”

West Midlands Ambulance Service Director of People, Carla Beechey, added:

“Performance Through People provide the Service with an excellent programme for our apprentices.

“Over the years they have learned vital skills and the competencies needed to embark on a career with us and it’s great to see the journey they go on.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with PTP and look forward to welcoming the next cohort of apprentices to the service.”
