A cutting-edge new medical facility is opening in Cambridge to deliver an unrivalled healthcare experience in the city.

Welbeck Health Partners has announced it is opening a state-of-the-art new centre in Cambridge next year to offer residents and those from further afield access to first-class private healthcare facilities and treatments.

Welbeck Cambridge will provide a comprehensive range of medical services across more than 15 specialities and bespoke clinics including orthopaedics, heart health, digestive health, ENT, urology, gynecology and opthalmology.

Welbeck Health Partners is investing £25m into its new premises on Unity Campus to transform it into a market leading, bespoke centre of excellence. This strategic investment will equip the centre with cutting-edge technology and modern, patient-centric infrastructure. It is conveniently located to the south of Cambridge city centre, with excellent access from the M11, and ample parking.

Welbeck Health Partners is a partnership of pioneering healthcare specialists and clinicians that was founded to transform patient care using new technologies that detect disease earlier and enable minimally invasive interventions, to enable patients to receive treatment and return home to recover on the same day.

It is committed to investing in the highest quality staff and industry-leading infrastructure to deliver the best patient experiences and outcomes. The group places an emphasis on preventative healthcare and is committed to constant innovation and investment in new technical advancements to offer patients the highest standard of care.

“We are very excited to be bringing a brand new Welbeck practice to Cambridge to help transform private patient care in the city and beyond,” said Andrew Chadwick-Jones, CEO of Welbeck Health Partners.

“As one of the world’s leading locations for academic healthcare, selecting Cambridge for our newest practice was a natural fit for our model of partnering with world-class clinicians.

“Geographically, Cambridge is close to our other centres in Oxford and London and completes the ‘golden triangle’ for us meaning we can widen access to our services to more people across the south of England.

“The new site is a fantastic location for us due to the medical and scientific collaboration and innovation already happening on the Unity Campus.

“We believe our commitment to delivering the highest standards of patient-centred care and cutting-edge technology and practices will help set us apart from other healthcare providers in Cambridge and have a positive impact on the local community.”

Welbeck Health Partners currently has a location in London and has a second facility coming on stream in Oxford in 2025. Welbeck Cambridge is the latest addition to the group and forms part of a long-term strategy to open regional centres across the UK. OneWelbeck, the flagship centre, opened in London in 2019 and currently works with more than 350 industry-leading clinicians and sees more than 100,000 patients a year providing a full service of specialities.

Oliver Wiseman, Consultant Urologist, Welbeck Health Partners added: “I am thrilled to confirm we will be opening Welbeck Cambridge next year. We have ambitious plans to build a centre of excellence, delivering exceptional patient-centred care in a state-of-the-art facility.

“Welbeck Health Partners operates in partnership with clinicians like me to harness their expertise and investment in the highest quality facilities for patients. This means regional Welbeck centres, like Welbeck Cambridge, will be able to offer the most up-to-date services and treatments based on the real wants and needs of local people. This approach helps us to better serve our patients and deliver an unrivalled standard of private healthcare.”
