Birmingham-based Make UK to host apprenticeships webinar

Make UK is hosting a live webinar to showcase the routes into and opportunities available through apprenticeships in the engineering and manufacturing sector.

The webinar will provide anyone looking at a career in engineering and manufacturing with some real insights into what an apprenticeship in this sector is like. Make UK apprenticeship experts and current apprentices will be on hand to provide advice and guidance.

Stephen Mitchell, Director of Apprentices and Technical Training at Make UK’s Technology Hub in Aston, Birmingham, said: “This is the ideal platform to learn more about apprenticeships and ask any questions you might have about how to apply, what skills you may need and what your next steps are.

“During the webinar some of our current apprentices will talk about their experience and why they chose this route, offering some friendly advice and answering any questions that attendees might have.

“We usually host open days at our Technology Hub in Birmingham and have vacancies for apprentices to start this autumn. Due to the current situation, it’s physically impossible to attend an open day but we’ve never been one to rest on our laurels which is why we’re making the most of the digital realm to ensure young people considering an apprenticeship can still access the same information and find out all they need to know about an apprenticeship with Make UK.”

The webinar starts at 1pm for an hour on Thursday 7th May
