Ray Chapman Motors Bradford is holding a special launch evening on Thursday 12 October

The people of Bradford will soon be able to purchase and service their cars in style with a multi-million-pound refurbished showroom this autumn.

Ray Chapman Motors Bradford, on Canal Road, is currently undergoing a multi-million-pound refurbishment which will also see the retailer move to a new location – still on Canal Road, but taking over the previous Jaguar site. The refurbishment comes after the retailer officially changed its name from Clive Brook Volvo Bradford to Ray Chapman Motors Bradford.

The retailer is set to open its doors for sales, servicing, MoT tests and repairs on Monday 9 October, and its new-look showroom will feature Volvo’s signature lounge area, complete with Scandinavian furniture, free Wi-Fi and Swedish cakes and coffee. Customers will be invited to relax while their car is being looked after or can carry on working using the Wi-Fi.

The showroom will display the latest range of stunning Volvo cars, including the pure electric XC40 and plug-in hybrids, as well as over 100 Volvo Selekt Approved Used models. More than 100 checks ensure these Approved Used cars are not just safe but perform to the highest standards thanks to the latest Volvo parts and software.

The retailer will also continue to offer their streamlined service to car owners which halves waiting times. The Volvo Personal Service sees the same technician liaising with the customer from the point of booking, right through to explaining the services – which they themselves have carried out. Two technicians work together on each car, reducing the time it takes for the service to be fulfilled.

To celebrate the opening, Ray Chapman Motors Bradford is welcoming the local community*, along with Kristian Elvefors, Managing Director of Volvo Car UK, to a special launch evening on Thursday 12 October. The casino-themed event will provide guests with a first-look at the state-of-the-art showroom, as well as provide an opportunity to chat to the expert team.

Duncan Chapman, Managing Director at Ray Chapman Motors, said: “We’re thrilled to be sharing the news of our refurbishment of Ray Chapman Motors Bradford.

“Keeping up with the growing popularity of electric vehicles, our new state-of-the-art retailer will offer a range of plug-in hybrid models, as well as the pure electric XC40 – alongside a selection of petrol and diesel cars for our Volvo Selekt Range.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming new and existing customers to our new-look home which will offer the perfect, sustainable-friendly environment to mirror the Volvo experience and hope to meet many at our upcoming launch event.”
