Leading click fraud protection specialist, Beacon, has been confirmed as the exclusive sponsor of a conference dedicated to paid social media advertising taking place in Brighton this month.
Beacon will provide sponsorship for the Paid Social Show, a fringe event hosted by brightonSEO, which will be held at Brighton Centre on Wednesday 8th September.
Stewart Boutcher, Beacon’s CTO and data lead, will deliver a talk titled: ‘The Truth About Ad Fraud on Paid Social’ from 10:20am on the day to educate participants about who is committing ad fraud – a type of fraud that takes place in online advertising – and what steps marketers can take to protect their search and social campaigns.
To mark its sponsorship of the Paid Social Show, Beacon will be giving away free, branded t-shirts and refreshments to participants at the event on a first come, first served basis.
The spin-off event from brightonSEO, the Paid Social Show is focused on offering practical and hands-on advice to businesses on promoting themselves via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
The event will be subject to COVID safety measures and visitors will be asked to provide a negative lateral flow test result to gain entry, even if vaccinated.
Speaking ahead of the event, Stewart Boutcher said: “We’re delighted to be the main sponsor for this autumn’s Paid Social Show; a hugely important event for any marketer who wants to learn how best to harness their paid social media advertising.
“I’m very excited to be speaking at the conference, especially given the lack of in-person events over the past 18 months as a result of COVID. It will be great to get back to meeting advertisers face-to-face and to gain a clearer understanding of their businesses and their needs.
“I would urge any business leader eager to get the most out of their paid social media advertising to find out more about the event and register their interest.”
Co-founded by entrepreneurs Nigel Bridges, Mike Townend and Stewart Boutcher in 2016, Beacon is a click fraud protection platform unlike competing optimisation and analytics platforms. It tells users with precision how much of their budget is being wasted by automated programs used to commit ad fraud, before taking steps to block them, enabling organisations to optimise spend and transform digital Return on Investment [RoI] based on data they can trust.
