Conker, the British manufacturer of rugged mobile devices, has launched a new campaign to rid the warehousing, shipping and logistics industries of ineffective, inefficient and outdated scanning technology.

Centered on ‘Scan Man’, the superhero in hi-vis, the campaign combats the pain of clunky and cumbersome scanning devices which cause frustration, inhibit efficiency, and reduce productivity within the workplace.

The five-part video series features Conker’s latest and most in-demand product range, the next-gen rugged wearables. Scan Man gets his superpowers from a glove with an integrated barcode scanner and built in scanning trigger which links to a wrist-worn PDA device, meaning scanning can be done quicker, more effectively and totally hands free.

With Gartner identifying wearables as one of the top supply chain technology trends for 2023, Conker aims to help warehousing and logistics operations become more efficient and effective, with customers benefiting from convenient and durable wearables.

James Summers, Conker CEO and Founder, commented: “Broken tablets, handhelds and wearables can negatively impact productivity, which ultimately leads to frustration and employee churn. By investing in robust devices and unlocking “superpowers” these can give team members, warehouse, shipping and logistics teams the ability to reduce Total Cost of Ownership and benefit from reliable and lasting technology. However, Scan Man can just be ‘Dave’ who has got a bit too excited about his Conker wearable tech. Everyone should have the chance to be a Scan Man.”

Miguel Sanchez-rios, IT Manager at Shamrock, added: “We are extremely happy with the Conker wearables devices and would highly recommend Conker to any company who asks.”
