Renowned Birmingham-based energy recruitment agency, Consult Energy, has extended its services to help meet the growing demand for clean energy expertise.

Consult Energy is taking steps to support its impressive network of energy-centric companies in emerging markets like clean energy, renewable energy, sustainability and EV.

The expansion comes off the back of a period of growth for the business as the team have built out their clean energy offering across the East Coast of America, servicing them from their Midlands base but with big plans to move out there in the near future.

Having supported a number of UK clients across the energy and utilities industries with their clean energy teams, even more so since the pandemic put the environment and sustainability front and centre, the company has since decided to make this specialism official.

Heading up this exciting new venture for the UK team is Consult’s co-founder and Director of UK Operations, Kevin Tyler, joined by new Clean Energy Client Delivery Consultant, Ashley Pitt.

“We’ve seen the direction that the country is going in with the rise of EV, clean energy utilisation and a newfound passion for sustainability. It’s a brilliant position to be in where you can be at the forefront of the clean energy revolution by connecting businesses with sustainability specialists.” says Kevin.

With the country making major strides towards a carbon neutral future with initiatives like Net Zero, carbon capture and the exploration into new ‘clean’ fuel sources – it’s not just energy companies who are seeking out these specialist skills.

Big names in UK business such as Innocent, Sky and M&S are taking steps to make their entire supply chains carbon neutral and many smaller firms are following suit. It’s no surprise that the demand for energy and sustainability specific expertise is at an all-time high.

Kevin continues, “There is so much specialist knowledge involved in these ventures, from having the right sustainability project consultants on board to help embed new practices to employing the technical skillsets needed to support engineering projects, for instance charging infrastructure to support the growth of EV. We’re really excited to be able to offer our valued clients, existing and new, a dedicated arm of the business to help build their clean and renewable teams.”
