Rob Faulkner, Insurance Practice Lead at Software Solved

Exeter-based data and software specialist Software Solved is proud to announce the launch of its pilot phase for SurveyorTech Connect, the latest advancement in property survey technology.

SurveyorTech Connect will be tested by one of Software Solved’s pilot partners, AGB Risk Control Services, who provide property and liability surveys, risk consultancy and health and safety solutions to the insurance sector. AGB Risk Control Services are an experienced team of surveyors and risk consultants who work in partnership with selected specialist firms to provide a complete outsource solution.

Software Solved is working closely with multiple partners to bring the SurveyorTech Connect pilot to fruition, extending the value and expertise that partners provide to customers through their already comprehensive surveying solutions.

Software Solved developed SurveyorTech Connect, as an enhancement to SurveyorTech. The technology enables insurance professionals to capture comprehensive property surveys via an iPad or iPhone in flat image mode. The ground-breaking technology now available through Software Solved, is set to revolutionise the way in which property surveys are conducted and is particularly relevant in a post COVID-19 working environment.

Once the pilot is complete, SurveyorTech Connect combined with SurveyorTech, will give the option for both a remote and on-premise solution. The remote solution enables live streaming and flat images and video, whilst the on-premise solution enables 360 degree or flat image mode. This offers a full-spectrum solution to Brokers, Underwriters, Claims and Risk Consultants who are facing the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The last few months have been a challenging time for the insurance sector. With new social distancing and safety measures in place, the pandemic has revealed now more than ever, that there is a gap in the market for cost-effective visual surveying software that gives brokers, insurers and their clients a real-time view on a property without having to visit it in person. SurveyorTech Connect, with its live streaming functionality will allow Software Solved to rapidly respond to the increased need for remote surveying.

Rob Faulkner, Insurance Practice Lead at Software Solved, said: “We are delighted to be working with AGB Risk Control Services to pilot SurveyorTech Connect. Businesses are facing unprecedented challenges and there is an increasing need for insurers and brokers to maintain a competitive edge in the face of a hardening market and social distancing measures.

“This is a very exciting project for all of us at Software Solved. SurveyorTech Connect will offer users the ability to conduct detailed surveys remotely which is critical under current restrictions. We are looking forward to working closely with AGB Risk Consultancy to bring SurveyorTech Connect to the market, to enable brokers and insurers to hit revenue targets and enhance their operations.”

Don Oakley, Commercial Director at AGB Risk Consulting, said: “We are excited to be working with Software Solved to Beta test SurveyorTech Connect. SurveyorTech Connect will allow us to enhance our virtual surveys proposition and we are pleased to be working with Software Solved to bring a brand-new version of AGB’s survey experience to the market using SurveyorTech Connect.

“AGB signed-up to pilot SurveyorTech Connect to help refine and develop our already very comprehensive remote survey solutions. During the pandemic we launched AGB Express as a remote survey solution for eight of our underwriting partners. We feel SurveyorTech Connect will enable us to bring a leading-edge product to the insurance market and we are delighted to work with the Software Solved team on the pilot project”.
