Enterprise Vision Awards celebrated in Westminster

Sir Lindsay Hoyle, the Speaker of the House of Commons, and MP for Chorley, extended a warm welcome to a group of female entrepreneurs from the Enterprise Vision Awards (EVAS) in recognition of their outstanding work and accomplishments.

With one of the most recognised voices in British politics, the Speaker is known for his commitment to inclusivity, equality and female empowerment, and recently pledged to make the House of Commons menopause friendly.

Following a private tour of the Palace of Westminster the House of Commons, and the State Apartments, the group enjoyed a champagne afternoon tea and an opportunity to share their stories and experiences with the Speaker.

Sir Lindsay said he was delighted to welcome this group of trailblazing women to the historic Speaker’s House for an afternoon of conversation, insights and exchanging of ideas. This private event provided an intimate setting for the women from the awards to connect, share their experiences, and engage in discussions that empower and inspire.

The EVAS, shines the spotlight on the successes and achievements of women in business across diverse industries. The awards are the largest female focused business awards in the UK and have become a prominent platform for showcasing the outstanding contributions of female entrepreneurs.

Coral Horn, founder of the EVAS said “Chorley Council have supported the EVAS since we launched in 2011 and are proactively involved in promoting female entrepreneurship. We were thrilled to be invited to Westminster to showcase some of the inspirational women who are providing the next generation of young women with strong role models they can emulate, encouraging them to aim high.”

The group included Andrea and Charlotte Fogg of Maria Fogg Family Law, Charlotte Knowles of Greenarc, Debra Cartlidge of the Deaf Village NW, Del Parsons of Del Parsons Coaching, Fiona Hull of Construction Q, Helen Taylor of Glazey Days, Jaclyn Clayden of Process Counselling and Psychotherapy, Lisa Brady of Perfect Recruitment, Lisa Baskott of 2nd Line of Defence, Maxine and Darcy Laceby of Absolute Collagen, Sam Ashcroft of Headway Blackpool Wyre and Fylde and Victoria Coe of KinKind and Lizzie Beckford of Pink Link and the EVAS.
