Martin Boroson and Carmel Moore of the One Moment Company, and a group of enlightened corporate leaders, are set to explore the complexities of ‘how to hybrid’ in a free public webinar taking place on 3rd June 2021.

Everybody knows that hybrid working – a blend of working from home and office – is imminent and inevitable. Earlier this month the BBC reported that almost all of the UK’s biggest employers have said they do not plan to bring staff back to the office full-time. Everybody is trying to figure out how to make it work. But the answers currently being offered by the major corporates, such as “two days a week in the office,” are breathtakingly simplistic.

This is because everything about working time has changed utterly over the past twelve months. We can’t passively assume that the old time structures of work, created in the 19th century, can simply be tweaked and then applied to fit a more fluid, dynamic, hybrid world.

If we don’t design the process of hybrid working consciously and carefully–instead of assuming it will simply happen–then the risk is that we will perpetuate, if not increase, problems such as inequality, exclusion, burnout, and working 24/7.

The real question–how can we design a sustainable way of working for the long-term– will be addressed in a free 90 minute webinar hosted on 3rd June at 4pm UK time (11am Eastern, 5pm CET) by Martin Boroson and Carmel Moore, directors of the One Moment Company, which coaches senior leaders and helps organizations design new, healthier time cultures.

“The idealistic view is that this is the boon and balm that workers have been longing for: a degree of choice and control, enabling them to tilt the scales of work-life toward a healthier, more balanced state,” explains  Carmel, a former Big 4 Tax Partner.

“But the bottom line is this: We don’t yet know how to hybrid. The ‘angel’ is in the detail. At minimum, it needs careful planning. Companies need to allocate enough time, money, and leadership attention to experiment, refine, iterate, and learn.

The businesses who get this right will have a sustainable competitive advantage–a confident and loyal workforce. And they will know how to tap the intelligence of the whole system–wherever people are–in order to adapt and respond to complex change,” says Carmel.

Co-sponsored by MOBIUS Executive Leadership. the webinar’s panelists include:

Amanda Kunevich, VP and Global Head of Talent, Elsevier; Head of Employee Experience, Relx, Javier Estrella, Director of Operational Excellence, EnPro Industries, Mariya Rosberg, Head of Americas Corporate & Institutional Banking at Oliver Wyman, and Caroline Barth, Chief Human Resources Officer at Lonza.

Registration for the event is now open.
