David Wilson Homes has opened the doors to one of its show homes to provide a peek at its unique designs that are heavily inspired by the local area in Appleton following a successful launch.

The four bedroom Bradgate style home is now open to view at Orchard Meadows on Dipping Brook Avenue, and has been designed to reflect the countryside and open space in Appleton.

The design team pulled a great deal of inspiration from the area surrounding the development, with a cycling themed room as an ode to Wild Bikes Cycling Club. There is also a resident dachshund ornament that visitors should keep an eye out for, highlighting the local walking routes for walkers and dog owners.

Tina Sibbald, an Interior Designer at Lifestyle Interiors, said: “One of the children’s bedrooms has a bike theme, which is a nod to the popularity of cycling in the area. It also features local cycling routes on the wall.

“In the kitchen we’ve added a cocktail making set up, reflecting the buzzing local bars in Stockton Heath. This makes the dining and family area perfect for hosting friends and family and you want to open up some of the locally sourced gin and wine.”

Research from Zoopla at the beginning of this year predicted that warm colours, natural vibes, and different textures would be popular interior design trends in 2021, with homeowners looking to add some optimism and colour to their home after spending a year in lockdown.[1]

Tina added: “I designed the Bradgate with an established family in mind, and wanted to create a cosy home that had a touch of the country surroundings mixed with stylish and luxury aspects.”

The Bradgate’s unique colour palette is a mixture of warm greys and greige tones, featuring blue and burnt accents. Black and brass metal is used throughout the home, setting a warm and inviting tone throughout. Tina continued: “I wanted to create a contrast with the colours used. Steel blue is the main colour in the house, with touches of burnt orange to create more depth and interest.”

The colour isn’t the only thing that the designers have considered, and they have added a number of statement accessories and furniture to the Bradgate for visitors to enjoy. Tina added: “The wall beading in the family area and the study is a simple way of creating a point of interest, while the curved sofa in the family area plays with organic shapes and creates a feel of luxury in the space.

“The full height bespoke headboard in the main bedroom is also a grand feature with brass detailing, and adds a statement to the room.”

Orchard Meadows is set amongst leafy street scenes in the countryside of South Warrington. Located within easy reach of nearby shops, bars, and restaurants, there is also a large number of schools and transport links to provide something for everyone.

The development currently has a number of three and four bedroom homes available with prices starting from £295,000.
