One of the leading names in training and development, Pitman Training, is launching a new centre in Enfield on 17th January.

To celebrate the launch, the team at Pitman are also running a competition for the community of Enfield, offering five lucky people the chance to win one of five diplomas each with a total value of £10,000. The diplomas include; Pitman’s Office Skills Diploma, Microsoft Office Diploma, Medical Secretary Diploma, Web Design Diploma and Social Media Diploma. The competition will run over a period of eight weeks, and individuals will enter by providing a detailed reason as to why they believe they should be awarded a diploma. The competition winners will be announced on the day of the event by the Mayor of Enfield, Cllr Sabri Ozaydin. Entry for the competition will close on the 10th of January.

Pitman Training, which stems from the world-famous brand of shorthand developed by Sir Isaac Pitman in the 19th century, is launching the new centre in the heart of Enfield town to provide students access to over 250 self-paced, flexible training courses. Launched by local brothers Neil and Dip Khakhria, the centre aims to help people improve their prospects, gain promotions or get back into work.

“We’re so excited to be opening Pitman Training in Enfield. Pitman has been delivering training since 1837 and is a super brand in the world of accredited training,” said Neil. “Our new centre in Enfield not only provides a modern-day approach to accredited training but also provides students with a fun and inspiring state-of-the-art facility with highly motivated and experienced coaches.”

With a wealth of knowledge in the world of banking, pharmaceuticals, property and adult education, Neil and Dip are the perfect duo to launch the new training centre. “The competition is an excellent opportunity for people in our community to take a course that can make a difference to their lives. We’re all about developing people. In our previous roles, we’ve interacted with everyone from HR advisers to operations directors and managers so, we know what’s required to land a job. We’re committed to helping our learners every step of the way and are passionate about encouraging our local community to strive for better. The pandemic has created a lot of problems for people, so we just want to help people find work, get that promotion or even just switch careers.

“At Pitman, we deliver both in-centre and online courses, which supports our students to study anytime, anywhere – ideal for working adults or people with busy schedules. However, if online learning isn’t your thing, having the option to come into a local training centre is a great way to learn because you can get out of the house to escape the stresses of your day-to-day life. Studying as an adult can be daunting for some, so we also have our learning coaches on hand to give students the feedback, support and motivation they need to reach their goals.”

Dip said, “With courses ranging from business administration to software and web development, the possibilities for people to boost their CV are numerous. We’ll also be offering additional support to our learners through our strong network of employers and recruitment agencies across London and the surrounding areas to explore prospective employment opportunities. As well as private education courses, we also specialise in delivering CPD-accredited training for corporate clients and operate as an assessment centre for a number of internationally recognised professional bodies.”

Whether you are looking to train at home, at work or at our centre, our training courses in Enfield have everything to improve your career prospects.
