Bridge Health & Wellbeing is delighted to have been crowned Small Business of the Year at the first-ever East Dorset Gold Awards.
Organised by Marketing West, the East Dorset Gold Awards are the premier platform acknowledging and rewarding business success in the local community. Companies cannot enter or nominate in these awards, as they are the ‘Winners of the Winners’ from the 2023 Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Purbeck, Ringwood, Ferndown and Wimborne Business Awards. The winning entries in each category across all seven awards were judged against each other to arrive at the East Dorset Gold Award winners.
The winners and runners-up were announced during an online ceremony on Tuesday, April 16th. Nigel Reeve, Director at Marketing West, said. “We’ve had over 1,000 entries and nominations for these awards, so anybody who has entered, you’ve been up against 1,000 people. That really is one huge performance for these winners.”
Bridge Health & Wellbeing was announced as the winner of the Small Business of the Year category. The judges were very impressed by this independent family business, saying, “This business is a great example of the smaller, successful businesses that know their market, offer tremendous customer service and help to boost local economies.”
Paul O’Connell, co-founder and lead physiotherapist at Bridge Health & Wellbeing, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to win the Small Business of the Year. Winning the title in Christchurch was already an honour, but to be recognised across the whole of East Dorset is really amazing. We’d like to thank our clients for their fantastic support and our team for all their hard work.”
Several other Christchurch businesses were recognised in the awards, including Christchurch Derma Spa, Buddy & Noo, Avon Marina, Studio Arkell, Eco Sustainable Solutions and Maw. Winners and runners-up in each category will be celebrated at a special event on the Dorset Queen at Poole Quay in early May, when the sponsors will present the certificates.
