Abacus Group, the leading Managed Services Provider (“MSP”) to alternative investment firms, today announced its inclusion on the Data Privacy Framework (DPF) participants’ list to reflect its ongoing commitment to client data privacy and protection.

Compliance with the Data Privacy Framework (DPF), which is administered by the International US Department of Commerce, confirms Abacus Group’s ability to facilitate safe and reliable personal data transfers to the United States from the European Union (EU), United Kingdom (UK) and Switzerland, whilst also ensuring consistent data protection under EU, UK and Swiss law.

“Data protection is of paramount importance to our operations and a key foundation of trust with our customers, vendors, partners, and employees. Our inclusion on the DPF list reinforces to every stakeholder and business we work with that we take their data privacy and security seriously and follow the appropriate practises to keep it secure. Data protection is everyone’s business, and we believe that every organisation has a responsibility to safeguard it,” says Mark Kenny, Senior Director of Operations, Abacus Group.

The policy protects all personal data for current, former and prospective clients, partners, principals and employees, and third parties. Recognition under the framework is also a testament to Abacus Group taking the required measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. The company incorporates steps to protect personal information and the risks involved in its processing, alongside best practises in the industry for security and data protection.
