Local MP Ian Levy at Barratt Development's Church Fields development in New Hartley

Barratt Developments recently welcomed MP Ian Levy to its New Hartley development, Church Fields, to meet with the award-winning Senior Site Manager.

MP Ian Levy was welcomed onto the development by Barratt Developments North East’s directors, including Managing Director Carl Sobolewski, as well as the site’s sales team and Senior Site Manager Michael Spurr, who was this year recognised nationally with a Pride in the Job Award for the quality of homes that have been built at Church Fields.

The visit saw Mr Levy take a tour around the full development, highlighting the variety of properties that are available for both first-time buyers who are looking to step onto the property ladder, as well as families who are looking for more space or in search of their forever home. The tour also allowed Mr Levy to gain an insight into the way new homes are designed in response to the evolving homeowner preferences within the area, such as increase in need for flexible living.

During his visit, the Blyth Valley MP walked the entire site, which is due to create a total of 285 homes and expressed an interest in sustainability credentials, the housebuilder’s work in the local community such as education partnerships and charity donations, as well as ways in which Mr Levy may be able to support these moving forward.

It was very insightful to learn all about the ways in which Barratt Developments continues to support the house buyers within the area, including implementing energy-saving measures which is particularly crucial amidst the energy crisis faced by the country. The development provides much-needed, high quality housing for our local New Hartley residents, as well as support across the local community, and I look forward to seeing the development grow even further in what is a really exciting time for the area.”
