Lender BCRS Business Loans has joined the UK’s largest independent trade body for commercial finance brokers to strengthen its relationships across the sector.

BCRS, which specialises in funding for businesses that are struggling to access finance from traditional lenders, has become a member of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB).

Billed as “the professional association of choice” for commercial finance brokers and lenders who work with business borrowers and property investors, the NACFB was set up to promote industry and regulatory standards while encouraging collaboration between members.

BCRS, a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), offers loans between £10,000 and £150,000 to businesses making a positive contribution to the social, environmental or economic wellbeing of the West Midlands to support their growth and recovery plans.

Since BCRS was founded in 2002, it has provided loans worth more than £80 million to businesses across the West Midlands.

Andrew Hustwit, Head of Business Development Business Loans, said: “We are delighted to join the NACFB to build our profile in the sector and strengthen relationships with borrowers and investors, sharing best practice around the issues we face.

“We recognise the importance of collaboration across our network in the West Midlands so joining the NACFB is a great opportunity to extend our partnerships across the UK as we grow the impact, we make in uncertain times for the businesses we support.”

Norman Chambers, Managing Director of NACFB, said: “As the largest trade association for commercial finance brokers in the UK we are delighted to welcome BCRS to our organisation and look forward to working with them to promote our sector and the positive impact it makes on the UK economy.

“It’s never been a more vital time to support small businesses with the finance they need to prosper and grow.”
