Paul & Louise O'Connell, co-founders of Bridge Health & Wellbeing

Family-run Bridge Health & Wellbeing in Christchurch, Dorset, is delighted to have been shortlisted for Family Business of the Year and My Favourite Business awards at the Christchurch Business Awards 2024.

Organised by Marketing West, the Christchurch Business Awards celebrate the best local businesses across Christchurch, supporting and encouraging the growth and development of SMEs that contribute to our vibrant local economy. A spokesperson said this year’s entries were higher in both number and quality, so reaching the shortlist is a fantastic achievement.

The Family Business of The Year award recognises the unique nature of family-run companies and why family matters to their success. My Favourite Business is a new category introduced this year, decided entirely by nominations from clients and customers.

Paul & Louise O’Connell, founders of Bridge Health & Wellbeing, said, “We are extremely proud to have been shortlisted for the Christchurch Business Awards and can’t wait to attend the finals later this month. Previous events have been so inspiring and provided a fantastic celebration of local businesses.”

The awards ceremony takes place on June 20th, with silver and gold awards in each category. Bridge Health & Wellbeing are hoping to make it three in a row after winning the New Business of the Year Award in 2022 and the Outstanding Business of the Year Award in 2023. As the company celebrates its fifth birthday in July, a hat-trick of awards would provide an excellent early birthday present.

Bridge Health & Wellbeing will also present the awards to the Excellence in Customer Service winners. “This is the third year we have sponsored the awards, and we are delighted to be back supporting the brilliant businesses in our area,” Paul added. “As a family-run business, we are passionate about customer service. We strive to create a relaxed, friendly space where everyone is welcome. From our dedicated health and wellbeing clinic, we support our clients on their entire wellbeing journey, from dealing with injury or resolving pain to maintaining strength and fitness.”

From their state-of-the-art clinic on Bridge Steet, Christchurch, Bridge Health & Wellbeing provides physiotherapy, chiropractic, sports massage and rehabilitation services, and Pilates, yoga, and other wellbeing classes.
