DC Thomson Media opens new, refurbished Glasgow office

The newly-renovated five-storey Speirs View office benefits from modernised facilities, with sweeping views of Glasgow’s city centre, and brand-new radio studios.

Around 80 DC Thomson Media staff moved into the building at the beginning of the month, joining PSP’s 35 staff members at Speirs View.

The refurbishment follows DC Thomson Media’s acquisition of PSP Media in April last year, a Glasgow-based publisher and event specialist. With brands such as bunkered magazine, the country’s biggest-selling golf title, UK Club Golfer, Society Golf Guide, and events including Scottish Golf Show, Girls’ Day Out Show, Scottish Cycling, Running & Outdoor Pursuits Show and The Scottish Golf Tourism Week, the acquisition of PSP moved DC Thomson Media in to new markets including both B2B and B2C events and exhibitions of scale, and contract publishing.

The newly-refurbished facility is now home to The Sunday Post, No1 Magazine, Scottish Wedding, The Scots Magazine, Scottish Caravans and Motorhomes, and all of PSP Media’s brands, as well as Pure Radio.

Mike Watson, CEO, DC Thomson Media, said: “I’m thrilled we have a strong foothold in the Central Belt. This Glasgow office will serve as a great hub for us to ensure we continue to deliver and look to expand quality content and experiences to consumers across Scotland, and beyond.”
