Made Tech, a provider of digital, data and technology services to the UK public sector, has been awarded a two-year contract by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) for the provision of design, development, and application support services.
The project is part of the DVLA’s critical IT Transformation programme, which seeks to re-engineer all of its IT systems onto new, open-source, cloud-hosted IT platforms.
The contract will see Made Tech work with the agency’s teams, as well as supplying its own highly skilled engineering developers, to deliver the migration of legacy services to cloud-based environments; develop new internal and external facing services; and create online services and digital channels to improve overall customer service.
This will be the second project that Made Tech has worked on with the DVLA, and valued at £7 million is the largest contract the provider has been awarded to date.
The DVLA is headquartered in Swansea, where Made Tech also has a base of operations.
