Manchester-based Green Bean Studios has kick started 2024 with the launch of an official trailer for its new animated preschool TV series, Green Bean & Friends. The 2D animation stars leading character Green Bean and five unique friends who love to play, learn, and go on fun outdoor adventures together. This original IP children’s animated TV series with an eco-conscious focus is ready to acquire a production partner for the next steps of development.
This announcement follows a VIP Premiere Event held in December, where selected guests were invited to see an exclusive preview of the trailer and hear samples of the original music created for the animated series.
The preschool series was created by Anita Frost, a multi award-winning author and founder of Green Bean Studios. Anita collaborated with some exceptional talent to develop the series, including renowned composer Douglas Black Heaton. The network for broadcasting is currently to be confirmed, but the studio is in active conversation with several interested parties who are keen to be the home for this exciting new children’s TV series.
The series already has an A-List celebrity confirmed as a voiceover artist, and there has been interest expressed by both local and international voiceover actors for collaborating with Green Bean Studios on this production.

Our aim has always been to engage and entertain children, families, carers and educators, in an eco-conscious way; one that promotes early years development but also a love of adventure and the great outdoors.
“Working with some incredible local talent has enabled us to produce an animation that really brings to life the essence and character of our beloved Green Bean and friends, and truly engages our audiences, from preschool to adult. We now look forward to selecting a partner to develop this into its next phase of production.”
Private viewings of the animated trailer are available on request, with a meeting with the Executive Producer to discuss partnership opportunities.
After an unprecedented year of growth last year, Green Bean Studios has seen a sharp increase in visibility, reaching new audiences as well as catering to their current dedicated fan base, with YouTube views increasing to 57,000.
Green Bean Studios has developed a range of fun and educational ECO toys that encourage learning through play. The toys are ideal for children to explore imaginative play with their favourite characters who will appear in the animated TV series.
Current toys include a Green Bean Soft Toy, Mr Bear Soft Toy, Green Bean’s House, Beckett the Bee Soft Toy (on sale June 2024), Green Bean & Friends Jigsaw, and Green Bean & Friends ECO Kite.
