With more than one million visitors, Hillmount Bangor has celebrated 10 years of blooming in the north down City.

Councillor Jennifer Gilmour, Mayor of Ards and North Down Borough Council, attended the recent celebrations and congratulated the Mercer family on their Bangor business which expanded their already successful 85 year old Belfast gardening business.

Speaking about the milestone anniversary for Hillmount Bangor, Robin Mercer, managing director of Hillmount, said: “Expanding to Bangor ten years ago was a dream for our family and we are proud that Hillmount Bangor is blooming. As I reflect on the past 10 years, I am deeply grateful to the support we have had from the local community and I am filled with pride that we have achieved our dream of creating something really special for the people of Bangor.

“We have experienced some difficult trading conditions in the past 10 years but with loyal customers and dedicated staff we have been able to continue to grow the business with ease. Hillmount Bangor is a jewel in the crown of our family owned garden lifestyle business and we look forward to what the next 10 years will bring.”
