Leeds College of Building holds the annual BIG Awards to celebrate student success across the construction industry.

The final few award categories are available for regional construction and trade firms to sponsor at this year’s Leeds College of Building BIG (Building Industry Greats) Awards.

The student awards night will take place on Thursday, 19 September, from 6pm to 9.30pm at the LUFC Centenary Pavilion on Elland Road, Leeds.

Incredible student winners from across construction specialisms from roofing to engineering are selected for their academic achievements, going the “extra mile,” overcoming adversity, and excelling in studies or national competitions.

The prestigious annual awards celebrate hard work and showcase the industry’s next generation of rising stars. The gala event includes a welcome drinks reception with a three-course meal followed by a formal awards presentation.

Leeds College of Building is the only specialist general further education construction college in the UK. Over 5,500 students attend a comprehensive range of more than 200 courses related to construction and the built environment. In total, the College trains nearly 2,800 apprentices across all areas of provision, working with around 800 employers across the UK.

Leeds College of Building is now seeking the final few employer sponsors. Specific award sponsorship as well as bronze and silver packages can include logo placement, brochure adverts, or dinner for two company representatives on a shared table with the award recipient and their family and tutor.

Nikki Davis, CEO & Principal of Leeds College of Building, said:

“It’s wonderful to celebrate these incredible student achievements, often under challenging circumstances. Our excellent links with the construction and built environment industry are vital for our students who benefit from bespoke opportunities provided by our exceptional partner employers.”

The heart-warming event is a great opportunity to give something back to the industry, the College, and to network with current or potential future employees. It is also an excellent evening to meet associates and peers at national and regional firms from across the construction sector.
