MarCloud Consulting, the marketing automation consultancy and technology company, has made a significant senior appointment on the back of triple-digit revenue growth and growing demand for its services.

The appointment of Eoin Walsh as VP Sales will power the company’s growth strategy, building on the 144% revenue growth achieved in 2022, which was double the 72% of 2021.

MarCloud has enjoyed sustained growth since its foundation in 2019. Headcount has expanded from 2 to 25 in just three years, with the company looking to grow its team by another 60% by the end of 2024. So far this year, MarCloud has onboarded 43 new clients, representing a 35% year-on-year increase on 2022.

Walsh brings a wealth of expertise to the company from his four years at Salesforce where as Senior Marketing Cloud Executive, he built B2B and demand generation engines for customers in the UK technology sector. He will bolster the company’s growth plans to meet its revenue target of £4 million for 2023.

“Eoin’s appointment solidifies MarCloud’s leadership team and ensures we have a core focus on business growth. We are hugely looking forward to having him join at an exciting time for the company as we look to adapt and become closer to Salesforce as a partner. Eoin brings an abundance of experience in tech and SaaS and his ability to productise services will strengthen our market position across a number of areas, helping clients to optimise their marketing campaigns and achieve significant uplifts in ROI,” commented Tom Ryan, Founder and CEO of MarCloud.

While MarCloud already has a global client base, with customers in the US, Canada, Australia, Sweden, the UK, Finland, Denmark, and various European countries, the company is interested in growing its presence in Ireland, as well as further expansion into the Nordic countries. MarCloud’s existing roster of clients includes McCain, Lloyd Register, Sinch, JCB, Clarksons and Bruntwood, for whom the company delivered 17,650% ROI and £5.18 million revenue.

Commenting on the company’s performance, Ryan added: “Our average deal size has grown by 73% over the last year, with 65% of all the new projects we started in FY23 from returning customers, reflecting our strong customer satisfaction score of 4.94/5. Our impressive growth is testament to our ongoing focus on quality, people-excellence and innovation and underpins our proposition as the go to company for Salesforce marketing automation solutions.”

In its fifth year of operations, MarCloud is targeting the expansion of MarCloud Technologies through the delivery of new SaaS products to increase the reach and efficiency of customers using Salesforce marketing solutions. To reach this goal, MarCloud more than doubled its R&D spend in 2022 to almost a quarter of a million pounds.

This year, the company is also aiming to become a Salesforce Crest partner, which is a status awarded by Salesforce recognising partner companies that display the very highest standards of customer success, innovation and business growth
