Dack & Farrington

Dack Vans now offers New and Used van sales and Van Conversions following merge with Farrington’s Commercials

Automotive sales, hire and service provider, Dack Motor Group, has expanded its service offerings with the launch of two new ventures, specialising in the sale of both new and used vans and conversions of brand new vans.

The used vans will range from 12 to 36 months in age, having only previously been driven as Dack Hire vehicles before being made available for customers to purchase.

Dack Vans works closely with manufacturers such as Ford, Iveco, Maxus, Renault to deliver a high quality conversion to fit with the finish of the vehicle.

The new van sales offering consists of brand new vehicles with specialist conversions such as Tippers, Dropsides, Traffic Management Dropsides, Luton Vans, Curtainsides, Welfare Vans, Escort Vans and Utility Specification Vans.

Managing Director of Dack Vans, Leo Dack, said:

“We are thrilled to be able to add yet more services to our growing portfolio – offering high-quality, well looked-after used vans for sale and bespoke new van conversions. After being regularly requested by our customers for some time, we’re so pleased to finally see our latest projects come to life.

“We first spoke to Ian – the owner of Farrington’s Commercials – back in 2020, to see if he was able to supply vans for us to convert and send back to them to sell on. That’s when we moved onto the subject of Ian wanting to close up his business in Coventry and join us in Lincoln at Dack.

“After being impressed with our products and team, Ian decided to invest in Dack Vans, and help us roll out our latest services. We’re absolutely thrilled to have him as part of the team.

“Our used vans have only been utilised by us and our clients as part of our van hire service, so we will always ensure that they are fully maintained and inspected before becoming available to buy.

“Our new, converted vans provide a very bespoke service to suit each individual customer. We pride ourselves on being van conversion specialists, and produce these to the highest of standards.

At Dack Motor Group, we have over thirteen years of experience in the industry, so we know what we’re talking about.”

Dack Motor Group was founded in Lincoln in 2010 by automotive technician and Group Managing Director, Leo Dack. The company now employs 60 people across three different sites in Lincoln and Coventry.

Ian Farrington, Dack Vans partner and former owner of Farrington’s Commercials, said:

“I first heard of Dack Motor Group when Leo came to see me for some advice with his welfare vans, as I had been selling them for over 15 years. I was very impressed by him and the quality of his products.

“After working closely together since 2020, I decided to get behind the launch of the new venture, closing my Coventry-based business to put all of my energy into Dack Vans. Leo has fresh, new ideas, which, combined with my years of experience, forms a great partnership. I didn’t feel ready to retire, and still felt I had more to give to the industry, even after 25 years – so here I am!

“I saw great potential in Dack Vans when I first joined the firm, and I can’t wait to see how things grow even more now I’m here.”

The two new services will complement the group’s existing range of services, which includes converted vehicle sales and rentals, servicing and repairs, and a body shop.

Dack Vans customer, Charlie left a five-star review on Google:

“After just two days from the first initial contact, we now have a shiny new transit van sitting on the drive!

“Dack made the entire process from start to finish extremely painless, and all at a very competitive price – cheaper than any other dealer we contacted.

“We will be using them again with any van needs we have in the future. Makes you wonder what all the fuss is about when it comes to buying a vehicle!”

Another Dack Vans customer, Sylvester Oppenheim, also shared his positive feedback:

“Lee from Dack Vans was very helpful and easy to deal with, the complete process was smooth and despite me not understanding which variant the van was, Lee was patient and helped me so I could insure it properly. I  was very happy with the vehicle and can hand on heart thoroughly recommend the company. Thank you.”
