A local marketing firm is mopping up the awards, adding another to its list of accolades.

Motor Marketing (MMUK), a local and industry-leading marketing agency, has been shortlisted in three categories for the Portsmouth News Business Excellence Awards.

MMUK has experienced exceptional growth over the last five years, with Director, Shevani Wilson, shortlisted for the Entrepreneur of the Year award. Other finalists with MMUK include Team Leader Lilly Nicholas for Apprentice/Trainee of the Year and the business itself for Medium Business of the Year

The awards recognise those who demonstrate exceptional performance in growth, innovation, and community engagement.

MMUK’s shortlisting comes as part of a history of accolades for its staff, including a previous win by Sienna Edmondson as Intermediate Apprentice of the Year, at the News and Observer Apprenticeship Awards last November.

Lilly Nicholas was highly commended in the Intermediate Apprentice of the Year category, as was Bethany Johnson for Advanced Apprentice of the Year.

Motor Marketing were also finalists for the Employer of the Year award.

MMUK’s unique company culture, prioritising transparency, employee well-being, apprenticeship schemes and professional development, are just some of the factors that set them up for success.

The agency’s work with The Second Chance Children’s Charity in Portsmouth also demonstrates their commitment to making a positive impact beyond business operations.

As the awards night approaches, MMUK is poised to celebrate these accomplishments and illustrate itself as a beacon of local business excellence.

Reflecting on the upcoming awards, Shevani said: “Being shortlisted for these three categories at the Portsmouth Business Excellence Awards acknowledges the hard work of our entire team, and especially highlights Lilly’s outstanding progress as an apprentice. We’re proud of our achievements and remain dedicated to furthering our contribution to the industry and our community.”

The Portsmouth News Business Excellence Awards will take place this Friday, February 23rd, bringing together local entrepreneurs, enterprise leaders and apprentices. This year the gala will also celebrate its 24th anniversary while shining a spotlight on the city’s most distinguished organisations and professionals.
