Having been given the green light, Stacey Mcknight Hairdressing, opened its doors for the first time on 6th July in line with government guidelines as part of a phased approach with all necessary health and safety measures in place.

As a result of the current pandemic Stacey’s previous position was no longer available to return to, so instead she worked throughout the lockdown period to bring her dream of owning and running her own business to life.

The Blakedown-based new luxury hair salon comprises of five stylists with more than 30 years’ experience between them including Salon Owner – Stacey Mcknight, Director Stylists Emma Richardson and Chloe Moraity, Senior Stylist Heather Lee-Brookes, and apprentice Olivia Brookes.

Stacey Mcknight, Salon Owner said: “I’ve always wanted to go from renting a chair to opening my own salon and actually there was no better time to take that leap; I wanted to do something worthwhile during these uncertain times. It has been such a whirlwind trying to prepare for the big opening particularly with the extra steps and precautions we’ve had to put on place to comply with the new guidelines, but as soon as we got the green light to welcome our first clients through the door it made the long hours completely worthwhile.

“The safety of our clients is our priority so we’re complying with all restrictions and can only arrange a limited number of appointments at a time but we’ve already seen some incredible lockdown hair transformations and after months of waiting for their pamper appointments we’ve worked tirelessly to make sure that clients leave the salon looking amazing.

“I can’t thank everyone enough for the support we’ve already received and look forward to seeing the new salon grow from strength to strength.“
