REPIC, the UK’s leading waste electrical producer compliance scheme, is pleased to announce a significant leadership transition as it welcomes its first Scottish Chief Executive.
After nearly two decades of dedicated service, REPIC’s current Chief Executive, Louise Grantham, has decided to leave the position; having played a pivotal role in shaping the development of REPIC. Perth-based, Graeme Milne, REPIC’s current Strategic Business Development Director will take up the role from 1st April 2024.
Established 20 years ago, REPIC maintains a strong market position as a trusted leader in Scotland’s waste management landscape. As a leading waste electrical electronic equipment (WEEE) producer compliance scheme, REPIC leads the way on the delivery of a circular economy, supporting its members, in complying with their legal obligations for the recycling of waste electricals and electronic equipment (WEEE), packaging and batteries.
Louise Grantham, out-going Chief Executive, commented: “It has been an honour and privilege to work with the fantastic REPIC team and our producer members in establishing this great organisation and to be a part of a sector that is making a real difference. I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together, and I am confident that now is the right time for me to pass on the torch and I have full confidence in the capable hands of Graeme and the wider team in continuing to build on the success of REPIC.”
REPIC has forged strong partnerships with numerous Scottish businesses across the waste management and logistics sector, highlighting its commitment to fostering collaboration with the local industry. It has also built and established long-standing relationships with over 20 key local Scottish authorities, in addition to social enterprises and charities, becoming a trusted partner in the collection, treatment and reuse of waste electricals from Household Waste Recycling centres (HWRCs) ranging from the Shetland and Orkney Isles to the South of Scotland.

Graeme brings a wealth of experience in the waste sector to the role. Prior to joining REPIC, he worked as a Business Consultant across the waste sector, as Managing Director at Katalyst Business Consulting. His career also includes an impressive 12 year tenure in various commercial roles at the waste management company Viridor. He lives in Perth with his wife and two grown-up children and actively supports several community organisations in the area.

In 2024, REPIC reached a momentous milestone as it celebrated its 20th anniversary. To commemorate this significant occasion, REPIC is in the process of planning a series of initiatives that will highlight the remarkable journey and achievements of the company over the past two decades.
