“IMEX is one of the largest events of its kind in the world and is an excellent opportunity to get our business events offering in front of an international audience and drive our inbound visitor and event numbers.

“Our region is in the spotlight thanks to the fantastic past year of business events and conferences, as well as healthy investment and developments in the pipeline, and we are working to enhance this market position.

“We’re delighted to be attending IMEX alongside ASM and to continue our united front in showcasing the region to the world and leveraging the opportunities that the brand new development, The Sage ICC will bring for NewcastleGateshead and the wider North East.

“The Sage ICC is a vital part of the future of NewcastleGateshead and enables us to have brand new conversation with larger international event organisers and associations.”

The three-day show will feature a dedicated industry event on the MeetEngland stand, which will provide market insights and the latest development updates on The Sage International Conference Centre.

Martin Mochan, Sales Director at ASM Global, said:

“The opening of Sage ICC in 2025 will be transformational to the region and marks one of the most significant venue developments in the UK in recent years.

“We’re already seeing a high level of demand in Sage ICC and it will undoubtedly change the UK venue landscape in the coming years as well as giving our international client base the chance to visit one of the most vibrant regions in the UK.

“IMEX provides us with the chance to engage with existing and new customers seeking new locations for the national and international events and we look forward to welcoming them all to the NGI stand in Frankfurt next week.”
