Wakefield-based granite and quartz worktop supplier, Roann Limited, has secured its biggest order to date, at £676,809, with property developer and housebuilder, Berkeley Group PLC.

Roann Limited has been appointed as the exclusive kitchen worktop supplier for a brand-new residential development, Woodberry Down, that will feature over 5,500 new homes. Set in 64 acres of land, adjacent to existing reservoirs and Finsbury Park, in London.

Roann Limited will be supplying its best-selling quartz kitchen worktops in 12mm Cosentino Silestone in Charcoal Soapstone and Statuario, thanks to its innovative technology and sustainable approach to architecture.

The current value of the order stands at £676,809 but has the potential to increase by a further £85,444 in potential client upgrades.

The project timeline for installation sits at 18 months and will start in June 2023. The final phase of the Woodberry Down project as a whole is set to complete in 2035.

Woodberry Down is a sustainable development committed to the natural environment and energy conservation, and is focused on creating a sustainable community, an initiative Roann Limited is keen to support.

This news comes shortly after Roann Limited replaced all kitchen worktop packaging from single use plastic to fully recyclable packaging, preventing 140kg of single use plastic going to landfill in 2023, through just one average project.

In 2022, Roann Limited reported a record-breaking year with a 15% increase in sales year-on-year and an annual sales figure totalling over £8.3 million. With the Berkeley Group PLC project secured for 2023, Roann Limited is set to reach another record-breaking year next year, with a projected turnover of £9 million.

Scott Wharton, Operations Director at Roann Limited, comments “We’re absolutely thrilled to have secured our biggest project to date! This has been in the pipeline for a while and we’ve been working hard to get everything secured, so we couldn’t be happier to be appointed. The Woodberry Down project shares values that we hold at Roann Limited, so we’re delighted to be working with Berkeley Group PLC to create a more sustainable future, with this development project.”
