Leading housebuilder Barratt Homes welcomed Member of Parliament for Rugby, Mark Pawsey MP, for a development tour with its award-winning team in Warwickshire.

The leading homebuilder invited the constituency MP to visit its Elborough Place development on Ashlawn Road and go behind the scenes alongside Managing Director, Adrian Evans, and Site Manager, Guy Field.

Guy was awarded a Pride in the Job Quality award from the National House Building Council (NHBC) for his work on the development and the high standards set.

Mark Pawsey MP said: “Delivering the homes that the next generation need is vital and so I was very interested to see the progress at this new development.

“It’s vital that new homes in Rugby are built to high standards and are fit for the future, and I was particularly interested to talk with Adrian and Guy about the way in which homebuyers are prioritising energy efficiency and sustainability when considering where to purchase a house. This is something that is increasingly being recognised both by developers and by the planning system.”

Elborough Place has been well-received by homebuyers since it initially launched in February 2021 and the 218-home community has fast become a sought-after setting for house hunters.

The development is also set to bring a total of £11,191,358 worth of investment as part of the planning agreement. It will be used to support services and improve facilities for both new and existing residents in and around the town.

Among the investment is £5.5 million for education, over £1.1 million for indoor and outdoor sports facilities, more than £1.4 million towards transport and upwards of £770,000 towards open space maintenance.

Adrian Evans said: “We were delighted to welcome Mark onto the site to discuss the success of our Elborough Place development and the investment being made in the community. It was great to provide the opportunity to view the ongoing works and introduce him to Guy, one of our award-winning Site Managers.”

Accolades such as the Pride in the Job awards rate Site Managers against key criteria such as technical expertise, health and safety, consistency, leadership and attention to detail. The awards celebrate the vital role Site Managers play in ensuring new homes are delivered on time, on safe sites and to the highest quality standards.

This year, Barratt Developments’ Site Managers have won 98 Pride in the Job Quality awards and 34 Seal of Excellence awards, more than any other housebuilder.

The range of homes available at Elborough Place includes a selection of three and four bedroom properties, ideal for a variety of prospective purchasers in Rugby.

Homebuyers moving to the new community will be able to make the most of a thriving commuter hotspot, which opens the door to a wide range of opportunities for working professionals.
