Fitness & Boxing Equipment Innovator Begins Enforcement Actions On Brand Infringement

Sparbar Ltd., the creator and producer of Sparbar® boxing, mixed-martial arts, and fitness equipment, has launched a multi-front campaign against counterfeiters and IP infringers operating in China, the UK-based company announced today.

Innovation sports equipment provider Sparbar is starting a major roll-out of legal actions on brand infringement. Sparbar’s legal team started an investigation for a case of international fraud for unauthorised registered companies under the SPARBAR brand name this week in China.

The IP protection in Asia is supported by renowned Amy Zhou, promotion agent for Floyd Mayweather in Asia, merchandise manager of Jordan, and owner of the Mayweather Boxing+Fitness studio franchise, amongst other prestigious sports management and representational positions, such as chairing of the United Nations Sports Culture Foundation and holding presidency of the American-China Sports Association Inc.

SPARBAR® has been making inroads into Asia since 2018, with showcases on fitness industry exhibitions in Shanghai. The announcement of Zhou as Head of the Sparbar Advisory Board of Directors fueled recognition of the highly endorsed Sparbar Pro device and its other innovations such as the wall mounted version on the Chinese market, followed by raising copy cats and counterfeits sold at double the price. Sparbar® founder Jasvinder “Jazz” Gill: “The popularity of Sparbar® boxing and fitness equipment in China has attracted producers of look-alike products labeled with the Sparbar® logo, but they are not our products,” he said. ”The copycats are not safe, since their developers would not have the sincerity in product and brand development, which involves extensive processes of quality control including stress testing, and usage of high-quality mechanical components,“ says Jazz.

Sparbar copycats are hurting Chinese and international consumers while negatively impacting Sparbar’s reputation for its vision of serving the youth and underprivileged communities. Sparbar is in the process of building an exclusive manufacturing place in the Philippines with the Topline Group of companies.
