CAM Ventures, a Tayside based micro investment fund, is thrilled to announce its exceptional achievements as several of its projects have recently been honoured with prestigious industry recognition. With achievements ranging from a ‘Best in Show’ at the Royal Highland Show, to medals from the IWSC, the attainments reflect CAM Ventures’ unparalleled ability to identify and support innovative projects, propelling them to industry recognition and success.

Their Carnoustie-based Angus Alchemy, which distils world-class gin, rum and moonshine brought home the accolade of ‘Best in Show’ at the recent Royal Highland Show, beating hundreds of competitors. A favourite of many of the show’s visitors, their Clootie Moonshine spirit has gone on to be awarded a bronze medal by the International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC).

Furthermore, their initial investment project, Angels Dare canned cocktails have gone from strength to strength this summer. Following the launch of their first non-alcoholic cocktail, La Bonnie Vita, the team have seen success at the IWSC, with two of their original drinks – the Secret Orchard and their signature Cheeky Wee Kiss being awarded bronze medals. It has also been confirmed that Angels Dare have been shortlisted for Artisan Product of the Year category at the upcoming Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards, which are set to take place in September.

“We are thrilled to see our portfolio companies receive such prestigious accolades,” said Campbell Archibald, Chairman of CAM Ventures. “These awards validate our investment approach and demonstrate the immense potential of the projects we support. We are dedicated to identifying visionary entrepreneurs and providing them with the necessary resources and guidance to achieve their goals. The success of both Angus Alchemy and Angels Dare is a testament to the brilliance and dedication of the teams behind them.”
